The Nature Conservancy – Coral Triangle Center (TNC-CTC), Bali
Position: Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator
My major responsibilities are (1) managing and implementing research for developing an MPA Management Effectiveness System in TNC marine’s project sites; and (2) developing and establishing M&E system both at project and organizational levels.  In addition I am also involved in training of Conservation Action Planning (CAP) and the use of MIRADI, a software specifically developed for conservation planning, for TNC partners.

Cooperative for Civil Society Resources Development (CIRCLE) Indonesia, Yogyakarta
My major responsibilities were (1) providing training and consultancy in program/project monitoring and evaluation issues to CIRCLE clients (including provision of in-house training for establishing organizational and program/project M&E system); (2) providing consultancy in organizational capacity assessment and capacity building needs; and (3) providing services such as social survey and research to respective clients. Besides being a team member for a research project funded by Ford Foundation regarding philanthropic works in Aceh and Yogyakarta (November 2007 to October 2008), I also worked in the following projects.

My major responsibility was conducting research for PhD thesis which was aimed at evaluating social impacts of tourism development in a National Park (West Bali National Park, Indonesia) to local communities. I employed a case study approach, qualitative methods, and executed the research following ‘standard’ evaluation research procedure which involved (1) development of evaluation model, (2) generation of evaluation questions, (3) identification of sampling techniques and data collection methods, and (4) evaluation of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, outcomes, impacts and sustainability. A paper has been presented in an international conference in Bali in June 2006, while the thesis itself is being finalized and I plan to submit it in December 2009.
