Jonatan Lassa

Jonatan is an independent scholar and practitioner. He hold a PhD from University of Bonn (with dissertation on institutional vulnerability and risk governance) and MSc in Environment and International Development. He have recently completed a research fellow (postdoctoral) at Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, USA. He have worked on governance and institutional dimension of vulnerability, climate adaptation policy, community based risk reduction, children participation in adaptation, community based adaption and risk management, food security policy as well as early warning system (natural hazards and conflict). His recent interest includes utilizing applied network theory approach in adaptation and disaster risk research.

Jonatan have 7 years of professional experience in (2000-2007) and 4 years of academic research experience (2007-2011). He have enjoyed privilege experiencing several institutional contexts ranging from working with private firms, United Nations, and academic research institutions including local and international NGO. He have served as a facilitator/trainer in more than 25 trainings/workshops since 2003.
