Sabastian Eliyas Saragih

Bastian has been in the Human Resource Management field for over 20 years. He earned undergraduate degree from The Scottish Agricultural College - University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom. During his time, he has held a variety of management positions, ranging from BITRA Indonesia, Development Alternative Inc to Oxfam GB.

With a keen eye and focus on civil society, Bastian did a vast amount of research during his career. His works ranging from Evaluation of Livelihood Project in Moro Parish West Nias, Evaluation of Black Soybean Women Empowerment Program Evaluation in 5 districts, to Review of Indonesia Tsunami Response.

As a writer, Bastian has become a voice in the civil society development in Indonesia. So far he has written 7 books. His latest book titled Pertanian Organik: Solusi untuk Hidup Harmoni dan Berkecukupan,

In 2006 Bastian started to held position as a Program Manager in CIRCLE Indonesia. Since then the organization grew and provided consultative strategy and direction for vastly diverse clients.
