Pelatihan Pengenalan Pendekatan Sustainable Livelihood (Traning, Introduction and Approach to Sustainable Livelihood) is comprehensive and accesible guide on how to facilitate Sustainable Livelihood training programme. The program that popularized by DFID circa 1990’s is started to adopted in Indonesia after Aceh earthquake and tsunami in 2004. We then started to introduced it in 2006 to our partner in Aceh. Seeing the success of the programme, we started to develop our own guide and by shaping it over the years we decided to bundle it on a module. It is filled with plethora of great idea that we gathered from years of training people and organization on Sustainable Livelihood.

In 2005 National Women Commission (Komnas Perempuan) on anti violence against women reported that there were 20.291 cases of domestic violence came from 29 provinces in Indonesia. It increased by 45% compared to the previous years. The government has already worked together with NGO to deal with this issue. However the statistic over the next years shows no significant progress. It happens mainly because the basic questions remain unanswered in solving the problem: what is the root cause? How to minimize it? In this book you can find our analysis in some perspectives and learning on the domestic violence issue in Indonesia.
